Gist is women-founded and Midwest made. Our founder, Lizzy, was inspired to create these drinks as a new mother. She was looking for an afternoon beverage that would give her something beyond hydration, but that wasn't loaded with sugar or faux sweeteners that mess with digestion. There was literally no other option but to start brewing herbs and plant fiber in her farm kitchen! Enter VyVy, a beverage whiz who runs tea shops with her husband. Lizzy and VyVy spent a week in the kitchen of one of those shops in Summer 2020, testing herbal blends and formulations. And Gist was born: the unsweetened, prebiotic, whole body beverage.
