Sunset is a friends & family effort to bring Germany’s most iconic soft drink to the US. Sunset, known as Spezi in Germany, was created by the Paulaner Brewery in 1974. It was a measure to become more inclusive through offering a non alcoholic alternative for their Paulaner Restaurants and Oktoberfest tents. Since then, Sunset has found popular appeal and today it is THE German cola drink, selling in all major supermarket chains and is a food pairing staple in Bavaria and all metropolitan areas. All of that happened despite 0 marketing spend and no changes to the product, which is still made in Munich by Paulaner with the original recipe and comes in the characteristic brown glass bottles with the original artwork. Dreaming Sunset was started in 2024 by father and son duo Matthias and Anton and is based in Venice, California. It is supported by a small team of Americans and Germans.
